Counter-Offer... Why it's a bad thing to take one from your present employer.
Recognize and give credit to the one person that helped you get your start and any team that you were fortunate to be a part of.

Tip of the Day! Location, Location Location = 3 rules of Real Estate...Numbers, Numbers Numbers = 3 rules of Resumes and making sure you can speak to them in an Interview Process. You'll increase your chances of AI picking up with digits and you'll have credibility when you can speak to them! #hiring #highereducation #recruiting #recruitment #jobsearch #candidates
TIP OF THE DAY! The "Thank You Note" after an interview...Great idea - keep it short, direct (think the note a child gets after attending a birthday party) and remember to cc the firm you're working with on the email. It shows integrity, professionalism and that you want to keep going forward!
Always fascinated the first time I reach out, direct email, social media, linked in and well - a direct call to note very early that the person at the receiving end is not ready for prime time. Always take the call...it could be opportunity knocking! #executivesearch #recruiting #recruitment #hiring #highereducation #jobsearch
Confidence vs. Arrogance...there is a fine line here - When in an interview it's expected that you talk about your achievements - and elaborate, but when you make it "all about you", fail to give any credit to your team or are not the least bit humble...you're the person nobody is going to want to work for/with - and you won't be moving forward in the interview process. #recruitment #recruiting #hiring #highereducation #interview
Give the Ghost a chance...in todays world with email, voicemail, text etc....the pace can be daunting - if you don't get the response back - don't leave them for dead...give it about 5 business days or so, then try again. You may be cutting your nose to spite your face and unknowingly burn that bridge you don't wish to burn! #recruitment #highereducation #recruiting #hiring
